I’ve found the Rolls Royce of rainboots,
folks. And I’m more than a little over the moon about this discovery.
But before I unabashedly pour my heart
out about the splendor that is the Veggie rainboot by Bogs, let me tell you how
I came to experience them…
So a few weeks ago, I blogged about my
Bogs classic winter boots, a review that was unsponsored, I might add, as my
boots were purchased at Marshalls (at more than 50% off) by my mother as my
Christmas gift. At any rate, I quickly learned that these were, unequivocally, The. Best. Winter. Boots. Ever.
Thinking that they might want to know
how well-received their boots are, I tweeted the aforementioned post to Bogs,
and what happened next knocked my socks off: They offered to send me brand new
Bogs for The Hubs, Scotty, and Kennedy, so that they, too, can have Bogs of
their own!
I thought, for a moment, that this may have been a ruse.
I thought, for a moment, that this may have been a ruse.
But I realized it wasn’t when the boots
arrived on our doorstep less than a week later:
And what happened after that really took the cake: I received a tweet
from Bogs headquarters, stating that they noticed my boots (in the photo above)
were past season, and that they would like to send me a brand new in-season
pair.
Enter the eighty-dollar Veggie rainboot,
which arrived a mere three days later!
I can’t say enough about these boots. Bogs thought of
everything.
Their lightest boot yet, these rainboots were built for warmer spring days and climates.
They are made of an incredibly soft and flexible natural rubber upper and feature Bogs Max-Wick™ , which moves sweat away and keeps feet dry, while DuraFresh bio-technology fights unwanted odors.
(This is a huge plus for me because I wear my boots without socks).
But what I love most about these boots are the easy pull-on handles and non-slip out-sole.

Simply put: Bogs rock.
Aren't YOU a lucky girl with brown hair?! :) Congrats; I love the boots! The colors are so bright and fun and look great on you!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am, aren't I. I cannot believe my luck with these Bogs, I tell you. Those guys are awesome...
DeleteThank you for your kind words. And you want to know the best part? They feel even *better* on!
Thank you for commenting.
Those are some very colorful cute rain boots. I'm surprise I don't own a pair of rain boots- I need to step up my shoe game!
ReplyDeleteYou're looking too cute on your birthday! Your outfit is simple, yet chic! I'm happy to see you had a great birthday.
Thank you, Louida! Oh, and those pics were taken right after we came home from...wait for it...I-Hop! Those buttermilk pancakes hit the spot!!
DeleteThank you so much for your kind words and birthday wishes...I REALLY appreciate it.
I-HOP!!!!! Their pancakes sure does hit the spot!!!!
DeleteSO CUTE!! You, your boots, AND your family :) Looks like you had an awesome day xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara! We did. The weather people (what do they know, anyway? lol) said that yesterday would be a wash-out. Ha! It was on the windy side, but overall, it was sunny and mild. I even played catch with Scotty in the yard! (Not in the YSL heels, of course. :-/
DeleteThank you for your kind words!
The power of Twitter is incredible! This happened once before to me with Home Depot. I simply hashtagged #DIY and within 2 minutes someone contacted me and they sent me a $100 gift card. I painted SO MUCH thrifted furniture with that gift card! You better believe I hashtag the shit out of that word now. The mini boots for the kids are killing me, so cute! Your birthday looked so special with the family...and those jeans look fantastic on you.
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks, Dina! It took some hard work to get back into those jeans after Kennedy...
ReplyDeleteYour hashtag story has me rolling over here. And congrats on such a fabulous score!! (They definitely handed that gift card over to the right person. ;-) Oh, yes, please believe, I am a strong proponent of the hashtag now!!

Ok leaving messages all over the place, what do they feel like inside? Warm and Fuzzy??? Going to get some for the youngest for the barn, but will her feet be warm???
ReplyDeletePS, nice of the company to do that, ENJOY lucky girl!!!!
Hi, Ray! I replied to your message in-depth under the comment you left for me on my Facebook page. But, in a nutshell, these are the ones you need for the barn:

They are both waterproof and will keep your feet warm up to -40! F!! Trust me, Ray, when I say that I have never, ever worn a boot that has kept my feet both warmer AND drier. They are not fuzzy inside like Uggs, though. They have what feels like a moisture wick-type fabric on the inside, which I love because I wear mine without socks -- even in the dead of winter. Additionally, you will find some other boots to choose from my selecting "Farm" under the Women pull down menu on the Bogs homepage.
Let me know what you think!
I love companies like this! I have never heard of them before but now I will check them out and buy from them because of this! You rock them too! Looks like your birthday was filled with love and awesomeness...you deserve nothing less!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO very much! Your comments have made MY day as well.
DeleteI'm so glad that we've found each other in this humongous blogosphere!!!
I love all the pis of your family! Yay for free boots!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to excuse me for the rest of this month as I'm in a daily posting blog-hop with over 2000 entrants. I'll be visiting many of them and not have much time for my regular peeps. See you in May!
Lexa, nooooooooooooooooo!!! Don't leave me! Sigh. I *guess* I'll manage for the next month. :-/
DeleteSeriously, though, I totally understand. 2000 entrants? Wowza. I don't know how you do it. But, then, yes, I do: You're fabulous.
We'll miss ya around here, Lexa. Come back and see us soon. :-)
They seem really cool. Too bad I don't live anywhere to really use them. :/
ReplyDeleteHi, April! Thank you for reminding me of at least one reason why I love living in Michigan: The fact that there are four solid seasons here is fantastic for fashion because virtually every look gets its turn of the box. (Now, mind you, I HATE winter here -- most of the time -- but that's not exclusive to Michigan.) On the bright side, I'll be able to rock these boots for two whole seasons: Spring and Fall! Yay! lol
DeleteThank you for taking the time to comment; you're on my list of must-read blogs this week, so I'll be stopping by very shortly...
That's awesome! I really need to invest in good rainboots...You kinda favor Nia Long on these pics and Happy Birthday :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks, Takei! You're so sweet. :-)
DeleteAnd, yes, Get. Bogs. You will NOT regret your purchase. You can find their rain/winter boots here: http://www.bogsfootwear.com/shop/styles/womensShoes/womensCasual/page-1.html
I love the ones for your daughter - so cute!! You do look a little like Nia Long -- maybe Nia Long Hair? Bogs are on my amazon wish list. i need to pull the trigger.
ReplyDeleteYou think? I like Nia Long, and I think she's pretty and all, I just don't think we resemble each other. But you know who I got All. The. Time. when I wore my hair curly -- particularly when I was younger? Ashley Banks on the The Fresh Prince of Bel Air (Tatyana Ali). Take a look at the pic of me and Scott in his jersey on the About the Girl Page...
DeleteGo ahead, do it! Buy them! You won't regret it.
Those are so colorful. Wow, you never know who is watching on twitter. I love the ones you have on in the picture. So colorful and you HAIR is everything!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, Angela. Your comments make me feel good. :-) I had actually just given myself a blow-out the night before my birthday because I absolutely have to have a fresh blow-out on my birthday -- no ifs ands or buts.
DeleteThank you, again, for commenting!
SCCCCCUZE me! Those are ADORABLE! Happiest birthday by the way :) (it's obviously WAY warmer in Michigan!) What a happy surprise with those boots too...I'd be rockin' them everywhere. YAY!
ReplyDelete-Sandra
Hi, Sandra! And, yes, while I caught a decent day to take these photos on, Michigan weather is hit or miss -- at best. Want to know what it is today? 33 and rainy!!! (This after it was nearly 60 yesterday and The Hubs and I were teaching our son to ride his tricycle in the driveway. :-/
DeleteThank you for stopping by -- and commenting!
That's AMAZING! I want some cute rain boots….I live in UT, so need some good winter boots too. Maybe I need to start tweeting Bogs! :)
ReplyDeleteHey, it's worth a shot! Otherwise, they are definitely worth paying full price for. Trust me: You won't be disappointed. And short of running over them with a bulldozer, a new pair will last several years, making them a good investment. ;-)
DeleteWow--I remember that post you wrote about Bogs, and now you have even more reason to like them!!
ReplyDeleteHey, Rachel! I know, right? I mean, still, I can't believe my -- and my family's -- great fortune. Bogs has definitely gained a loyal customer in us, and I will buy them for us and the kids as soon as they outgrow these, which, fingers crossed, won't be next week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, Rachel, you're on current my must-visit list...
Hi, Courtney! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I'm so glad that you found me so we can connect. First, skinny jeans are usually my go-to too. Love them (and I'll be posting those booties with some skinny jeans real soon). Second, I love football (Geaux Saints!). I'm going to bookmark your blog and I'm going to follow you on Twitter. :-)
ReplyDeleteUmm...so...I completely forgot to comment on the boots! Lol. I love Marshalls and I NEED some rainboots, so I'm going to keep an eye out for these Bogs boots in store. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteThank you, also, for stopping by, and for the Twitter follow (which I have returned) I appreciate it! Yes, please do peruse your local Marshalls -- and even the ones in surrounding areas. (I know that not all the Marshalls here are created equal...)
DeleteI love me some Bogs!
I'm glad we've connected. Enjoy your Saturday. :-)
